Of course this is true. I've never been to the beach in Long Beach. Laguna, Newport, Huntington, Hermosa, Manahatta, Redondo, Santa Monica.

No, it does not sound better.

There's no hyphen in Angelo's and Vinci's, either.

I grew up about two miles from Angelo's and Vinci's. My folks still live there (and have since the late 60s).

Oddly, I've never eaten there, and I don't know that they have, either.

Chicagoland winters are a little more bearable the farther from the lake you go. On the lakefront, it's brutal.

All three of these cities are wonderful places to live (I count Long Beach as part of LA). So my recommendation is to make your choice based on the quality of the program offered by each school. PS: How come no Boston if BU's on the list? Granted, our winters are way worse than Chicago's. But if weather is a consideration, there aren't many places more miserable than DC in summer, which runs from about Memorial Day until the end of September.

The heat index in DC is supposed to hover around 105 for the next six or seven days, with humidity at 80-plus percent. It's been that way for all but a handful of days. This past Sunday was the first bearable day in a while.

I like them all. I chose DC for the combination of weather and public transportation.

    Can't go wrong.

I would avoid driving in DC or Chicago if possible.

It's hard to avoid driving in Long Beach/LA.

Yeah, it's not as bad in Naperville. Commute would be a notch, though.

Driving in Chicago is nowhere near as bad as D.C.
