Why does the USC poll have such different results than most of the others?

There's some analysis about it out there. The short answer is that their methodology is flawed.

Nick Cohn of the Times had an article about it yesterday. Medium long version of the story, they weight their results according to how people say they voted in 2012. It is well known that people lie about that particular question after every election because people are front-running SOBs. So if you allocate results to account for a 51-47 Obama split, you may be overcounting Republicans, and throwing out Clinton support.

I believe the USC poll uses a panel.

So they're polling the same people over and over.

If that sample happened to have been a not-so-great sample from the get-go, those same folks just keep getting asked.

Meanwhile, Curt Schilling vows to run for office, first some state post, presumably here in Mass. and then President. Now THAT'D be entertainment.

He's anti-gay. He's pro-Taliban. His son carried out the Orlando massacre.

And, at an Orlando area speech, where Clinton paid tribute to the Pulse nightclub victims, he was seated right behind her.

    WTF?

Was reading yesterday that Democratic voter registration in Orange County, once one of the most reliably GOP counties in the US, is WAY up because of Trump. Now imagine if this is occurring around the country.

The pickle for Republicans is, by tying themselves to this psychopath, they may be screwing themselves over for years to come. Texas is absolutely getting purple. Eventually Texas WILL be a swing state. What if Trump accelerates that? The same way that liberals need California to build off of electorally every year, conservatives need Texas. You let Texas slip out of your hands, it might be awhile before you win the presidency again. And that's why catering to a dying demo (and turning an entire generation of Latino voters against you) was such a dumb idea.

Any word on who Dylann Roof's father is supporting?

We should kill him instead, as Trump has advocated.

Are you sure you want to play the "look at the nutbags that support Candidate X!" game?

Your side has been playing this game all along.

Though, somehow, we only look at one campaign when we play the game.

The guy is vile. The folks desperate to blame something other than Islam for the Orlando massacre pointed to the father.

Now, the Clinton campaign has him seated directly behind the candidate at an Orlando area rally.

    Why?

And, when discussing this, let's all be honest, and acknowledge that the folks standing behind Hillary at a rally are vetted by the campaign.
