Trump was saying he needs to be president to stop Hillary from nominating liberal judges, and that if she were elected, no one could stop her from trampling on their rights.

Oh, maybe someone with a gun could stop her. Just kidding.

That's his favorite thing. To put the idea squarely out there while acting like he never really said it.

What he meant was, after she's elected, "The Second Amendment people" would make sure that she's impeached and booted from office-- thereby nullifying her Supreme Court nominees. That's the power of "The Second Amendment people."

For a guy who's so fucking brilliant about saying something without really saying it ... you'd think he'd be doing a helluva lot better with the voters, wouldn't you?

We're all Second Amendment people! Some of us are just celibate Second Amendmenters.

It got him past 15 other GOPers he had no business beating by playing to the Lowest Common Denominator.

Guess that may not work as well in the general election.

    Just out of curiosity...

I would not think that, because enough voters are savvy enough to see through it and find his ideas abhorrent.

The reason he won is because it was 15. It was pure vote-splitting. Literally the reason he won is because he was such an awful candidate that nobody wanted to drop out because getting an early one-on-one with him was a free win. So now Clinton gets the free win.
