Why it would be totally naive to pretend it's not real concern, the "cord cutting is about to devastate the cable industry!" movement has been a little overstated. A lot of stuff will have to change for it to really take off.

    Hussein?

If the president's middle name is offensive, then maybe it's incumbent on the president to legally change it.

When was the last time the president's full name was used regularly?

Furthermore, if his middle name was anything else, would they be using it?

The tech bubble and 9-11 notwithstanding (he was right to lower interest rates in the 2000-2002 period), Greenspan was pretty widely faulted for keeping interest rates down too long in the 2002-2005 period and overheating the economy. My biggest problem with him, going back to the '80s, was his failure to regulate and his ridiculous belief that the markets would regulate themselves.

How many thousands -- actually, millions -- of times was George W. Bush simply referred to as "W"?

If the party saw the problems coming, why didn't they do anything about it? They held both houses of Congress and the Presidency.

But nope. We got Freedom Fries and medical diagnosis by video instead.

o_t would do well in some leftist post-modernist linguistics program. Think he'd enjoy Chomsky. His stuff is not my cup-of-tea, though.

George Washington had no middle name 'cause he was 'Merican!

What's wrong with the letter W?

Maybe X might be offended, since it follows.

You do know that's a nickname he's carried since his pre-politics days in Texas, right?

And I don't remember his critics referring to him as "George Walker Bush" with an emphasis on "Walker," either.
