Trump is now claiming he was being sarcastic when he said Obama founded ISIS.

I guess he was being Sarcastic² when he said "No, I meant he's the founder of ISIS. I do."

 

"You Can't Always Get What You Want" is an odd song choice for a Trump rally.

Trump needs to go full-on weird and come out to Fool to Cry, then not speak until after the talking part in the song is over. Just fuck with the audience.

 

I don't understand why the "founder of ISIS" thing has so much traction. He was making a quip about how Obama's policies permitted ISIS to occur. I thought it was clever.

 

Point of order: If you preface what you post with, "I'm not defending and/or excusing Trump, but...," you're defending and/or excusing Trump.

 

It's because he doubled down on it and said, "YES THAT'S WHAT I MEANT" in several interviews yesterday, before then deciding that he wanted to change the message to "CROOKED CNN DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SARCASM IS." Continued duplicity. Par for the course.

 

Hugh Hewitt tried to coach him up on spinning it that way but it didn't take until a day later.
