The GOP had neither a candidate nor a platform it could build consensus around. They settled for a knucklehead who will be lucky to get 40 pct. of the vote by playing to angry white people's fears, xenophobia and racism.

People who are registered Republicans are no longer excited about cutting taxes for the wealthy or gutting social security or any of the other bullshit the party has tried to convince them about over the years.

    The Trump surrogates are toast.

Katrina Pierson, paid screecher for the Dinald Trump campaign, demonstrates her political savvy and acumen to Sen. Ted Cruz (R.-Tex), right, by using her tits to knock over a folding chair. Cruz said he wanted to consult his close warm personal friend, Jesus Christ, before making a comment.

Yes. It's a pretty solid theory. Do you disagree with any of it?

Yeah, but I figured he wanted to show some city pride. After all, it made up for when he told Merkle not to touch second base.

Well, people against corruption might start a #NeverHillary movement. Of course, "people against corruption" includes 0% of the Democratic Party.

Why bother? You'll just claim I was lying just as you have when other posters from "the left" told you they would have voted for Romney or some other Republican over Clinton.

And this is where Tony goes completely off the rails. He has this desperate need to demonize anybody who isn't a Republican, a need that seems to be even greater now that his beloved party has nominated a candidate so unfit that even Tony is embarrassed. Maybe if he can make up enough bullshit and say enough horrible things about Clinton and all Democrats, he can even convince himself that voting for Trump is justified.

I almost feel bad for Pierson. She has a really interesting backstory. A lot of it is similar to Obama's in fact. She was born in Kansas when her mom was 15 years old. White mother. Black father. (Father wasn't in her life.) Lived on welfare for a number of years (which, of course, she opposes now). Her mom tried to give her up for adoption, then changed her mind. Katrina got pregnant when she was a teenager too. Father barely involved. She got arrested at a young age for shoplifting. Slowly turned her life around. Got her college degree, joined the Tea Party, got involved with the Cruz campaign, meets Trump, is obviously the kind of spokesperson Trump can't resist (attractive), and now she's obviously totally overmatched in a presidential campaign. She can't seem to keep the Trump talking points straight, and so she's totally just spewing "Obama is terrible and is to blame for everything" nonsense. I admire how she didn't let fate ruin her. I think she's a lot smarter than she presents (and currently she presents as the dumbest person in politics), but who could seem smart defending Trump's buffoonery?
