I love Paul Manfort's response to the story in the NYT alleging he received under-the-table money from Ukraine:

"The suggestion that I accepted cash payments is unfounded, silly and nonsensical."

Why would someone accepting money be nonsensical? Nothing makes more sense than wanting to get paid.

 

Does he always refer to himself in the third person? And, as "The VP?"

I didn't think he was that douchey.

 

Private zoo? Cable television assets?

I'm pretty sure this Manafort plot is based on a two-part "Law & Order" from 1993.

 

This seems damning, but I've been told the media lies all the time, so I'm not sure when to believe them and when to ignore them. I need the decoder ring we talked about.

 

From the "Too Lazy To Look It Up" files, and because I believe it could spur some conversation: When people talk about Clinton winning in a landslide comparable to (insert recent election here), the most commonly inserted landslide wins cited are '72, '84 and '96 -- all of which involved landslide victories by sitting presidents. When was the last time there was a decisive election that didn't involve an incumbent?

 

It's simple.

Negative about a Republican or an issue Republicans believe in? It's biased against them, filled with lies and planted by George Soros.

Negative about a Democrat or an issue Democrats believe in? It's The Truth, handed down from God himself, and any other view than it being time for impeachment and/or imprisonment for the person it is about shows you are not a Real American.
