So raw ends with 40 minutes of a match that's gonna be on again on Sunday?

Ok. And they wonder why ratings are going to hell.

For a go-home show to promote arguably the second-biggest show of the year (I understand if anyone votes for the Rumble), God, that was lackluster.

I liked the Heyman/Lesnar/Slater bit, but I would have liked it even more if they actually had a match with the stip that if Slater won, he would join Raw. They could have had Lesnar throwing Slater around, then have Slater make the underdog comeback and end it with Lesnar winning by DQ because Orton RKOs Lesnar in front of the ref. Then Slater complains because Orton cost him, and eats an RKO too.

The women's segment makes some sense if Sasha sells the leg injury on Sunday. If not, then it was a waste.

Otherwise, just a meh show. Rollins/Balor segment was just OK, and I just couldn't muster enough caring with Reigns bearing Rusev. If they really wanted to get that program over, having Reigns tap to the Accolade could have been huge.

Every time they say "Demon King" in reference to Balor, I keep hearing "Demon Kane" and groan a little.

Yeah, it's a little surprising they have two names that are so similar.

Also last night, some moron charged the ring during Rollins' promo. Kinda frightening, although Rollins' response after the stupid idiot is tackled is excellent.

I don't know why they keep calling him that - Was that a NXT thing after I got too busy to watch regularly? I always thought that persona was just referred to as "The Demon" in NXT.

Maybe Gene Simmons threatened to sue.

This would have been spectacular and such a joy to watch Slater going forward.

Well, I wouldn't have had him actually beating Lesnar, because whoever eventually does (and no, I don't want Orton to be that guy), it has to be someone special. But it would make sense to have Orton cost Slater a possible win. Then on Smackdown, Slater can complain, so Bryan gives him an opportunity against Orton, and then Lesnar comes out to cost Slater the win.

It furthers the storyline, and gives Slater another thing to gripe about.

Seemed like on NXT Finn painted himself because 1) He did it on the indies and 2) It looked awesome and is marketable.

I feel like this transition to the main roster and trying to change it into some kind of Undertaker/psychological warefare gimmick is not going smoothly. Maybe I'm just feeling negative today. I expect the match on Sunday to be amazing no matter what either of them are dressed up as, Rollins and Balor are that good.

My issue with it is that Balor should save the Demon King stuff for the major shows, and even then, keep it rare, like for a while, Foley breaking out Cactus Jack instead of Dude Love or Mankind.

Entrance aside, I thought it would have been fine if Rollins kept asking for the Demon King, and Balor came out on his own. Then, when Rollins asks where the Demon King is, Balor responds that you'll see him at SummerSlam and then beats him up.
