    The "insurance has paid bulk of costs" mentality is why health insurance is such a mess. Who pays for the insurance? How much does it cost? I bet most do not even know the answers.

    Yep. People with a good plan didn't care how much stuff cost then wondered why their premium was higher next year.

    And Republicans did offer alternatives. Much better alternatives. That's another part where no Democrats listened.

    or their co pay went from $20 to $25 and their monthly premium for the company plan went from
    $100 to $120 without knowing that the company is probably shelling out the balance of $1400 a month.
