And yes, one of the McDonald's did close.

For a couple of reasons. The franchise owner owns more than one in the region and was tired of running them all. But he also said that there was too much competition and the amount of profits weren't what McDonald's corporate was liking. So they closed it.

 

BTW, McDonald's is planning to close 500 of its restaurants this year:

But hey, according to you, they're not the ones closing it. It's the franchise owners closing it, right?
