Although Byrd's KKK links have been debunked many times, many ways, some Trumpsters keep beating this dead horse. I fully expect prominent use of the President's middle name in the following weeks, perhaps followed by an endorsement from the Flat Earth Society.

He was a leader and recruiter in his local chapter. He wasn't just "linked" to it.

Are you implying that once you are "linked" to the KKK you are forever considered a racist?

 

Yeah, that web site ain't exactly Snopes.
Plus, there's even a quote in there from the NAACP acknowledging that he was an active member of the KKK. You can say he turned away from it, but that doesn't change the fact he was a Klansman at one time.

 

And in that NAACP statement he is praised as an example of how people can change and ultimately fight for good. But I guess he was just like David Duke.
