I love how this thread keeps coming around to "our Klansman is better than your Klansman" or "our rapist isn't as bad as your rapist."

Obama's first reaction is to rush to a podium and blame Republicans in Congress for not outlawing the Second Amendment.

Yes... that's exactly what he says... "Republicans in Congress (on their own) should outlaw (as if any group of people can 'outlaw' an Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. The word you, sorry, Obama might be looking for is 'repeal') the Second Amendment (the phrase 'common sense reforms' or 'background checks' never being part of his words.)"

Yes, but someone said Byrd's ties to the Klan were "debunked." That means they didn't exist, were a myth, and they offered up that terrible link as proof. He was part of the Klan. Therefore, his ties are very much bunked.

Was in a rush. The Byrd = KKK thing is one of those things the Trump campaign likes to drag up now and then, like the Mooslims cheering as the WTC fell and Cruz's dad being one of Oswald's BFFs.

Byrd was a despicable person until the day he died.

It's hysterical that Dems can't admit this.

But, it's worse than that. Because Dems want to portray only Republicans as racist, they try to turn Robert Byrd into a good person.

So, Bill Clinton excuses his membership in the Klan and Hillary calls him the conscience of the Senate.

And a friendly media plays along, rolling their eyes at the mention of him.

Random, but: Anyone heard from RickStain?

Feel like he's been missing from this (and other) threads.

Why don't you write a letter to the editor of your local tronc? Stand up, citizen!

I was wondering about him too.

    Hopefully everything is ok.

And that was the wrong word. But there is no comparison between Byrd's story and those of Duke and the others endorsing Trump. But you are correct, Byrd was clearly in the Klan.

Give us one example where Obama's first communication was a tweet similar to Trump's.
