Because in their minds they are better than politics and therefore voting for a no-hoper is their best way of proving it. The idea that refusing to choose is also a choice escapes them.

It's really interconnected. The missing e mails that were just released show a vast connection between State and foundation.
    It's about honesty

    This criticism is silly.

This was an initial meeting, and not a negotiation.

As we've seen in hundreds of meetings previously, they looked for areas of agreement.

Yes, it's astounding that a charity doing good works in foreign countries would have interaction with the State Department.

Pena Nieto is a lame duck, YF. All Mexican Presidents are, due to their term limits. So he's in a limited position to negotiate anything. The meeting was not popular among his constituents.

She didn't even uphold the agreement she made with President Obama regarding the Foundation.

Let's not pretend the criticism is unwarranted.

Did all charities doing good works get the same access? Highly doubtful since they
likely did not have someone on State dept payroll

Claims he was racially profiled. CPD says they have body cam footage.

Now, he won't talk, and hasn't authorized the CPD to release the footage.

Answering Qtlaws thought provoking question on this thread so as to respect the SJ one politics discussion thread.

In response I seriously blame Obama for our current lack of optimism and social divide. For the past 8 years we've been beaten over the head about what's wrong with us. It's like having an overly critical parent. People who were proud of the fact that they started a successful business were told that they did not start it on their own. He's been critical of the police who put their lives on the line every day.

Optimism is a state of mind. Reagan gave us optimism at a time when the nation sorely needed it after years of being beaten down by the Jimmy Carter error. In his short time JFK also gave the nation a great optimism.

So you think Trump said the same things in Mexico as he said later that night in Arizona?

(And having whackadoo birther Sheriff Joe speak at that Arizona rally really says a lot about Trump.)
