I have no idea why she didn't take the meeting. But I am quite familiar with your rhetorical device where you assign a motive to someone, and then argue from that basis as if it were incontrovertible.

In all, Reagan said "I don't recall" or "I can't remember" 88 times in the eight hours of testimony taken Feb. 16-17 in Los Angeles.

 

Oh hell, he was already well into the slide then (1990). So while "brain injury" isn't technically accurate, it's close enough.

 

They've endorsed Republicans dating back to at least 1980, and probably before that. They were never endorsing Hillary, and decided they couldn't do Trump. I guess they could have abstained, but otherwise, what choice did they have?

 

I'm sure it totally would've gone differently if Reagan had testified a few years earlier.

 

They should've completely sold out like all the other Republican Trump supporters.

 

She hasn't done an unscripted event this whole campaign. Maybe she just won't, but that plays out the same as "can't".

Both Politico and the Times had articles in the last couple of days about how she hides from the press and from voters.
