Half the problems with this guy would be resolved if he grasps the meaning of something the first time so you don't have to keep repeating yourself.
Once again, I don't consider "serious contention" to be the chance to belly-up to a roulette wheel and take a spin.
Which is what the play-in game is, and which has already burned them twice. It is a consolation for losers.

 

Fart just argued that the 2014 World Series champion San Francisco Giants were losers. They were, after all, a wild card team that had to participate in the play-in game.

I'd say it was sad that Fart doesn't even understand that his premise is bullshit, but I think he does. He just hopes he can cover up his latest failure in bluster and lame personal attacks on me.

Even you must admit the wild-card 'round' is a lousy concept.
Team plays 1,500 innings over 180 days and then has its season decided in three hours. It is oh so perfectly Seligian.
Is the race exciting? Sure, for losers that can't win their divisions. Is it good for baseball? Not really.

I gave you evidence their (scant) mathematical odds of reaching the postseason were higher after the Melancon trade than before.
If you don't want to accept that, then I have no wish to further comfort your ignorance.
And, no, I have no respect for a 'champion' that dicks around for five and a half months and then gets hot for six weeks.
Never mind that an 88-win team manages to win the whole thing and we're forever supposed to cup their balls.
