Matt Shoemaker suffered a fractured skull yesterday when he was hit by a line drive. Today, Jered Weaver turned quickly enough to take a liner in the upper buttocks area (he got hit in the ass). He stayed in the game.

Giants get two hits against Rockies' Chad Bettis. It is the second two-hit shutout by a Rockies pitcher in the history of Coors Field. From a guy who came in with a 5.17 ERA.

The Giants have 16 hits in their last five games and haven't had more than four hits in any of them.

Bettis throws 103-pitch 2-hit shutout against Giants, at Coors. Pen didn't get up once.

Bettis is on my bad team. Today it was a good day. #RipRon

Another shitty start in Chicago today by the guy who doesn't know how to pitch.

I humbly step into his place and tell you nobody gives a fuck about your fantasy team. (Actually, there is a thread for it on Anything Goes, but you have to search. Nobody has posted on that one in a while.)

Brian Dozier hit three home runs today to bring his season total to 38. He is second in the majors behind Mark Trumbo, who has 41. Dozier always had decent power, but WTF?

They should. They might learn something if they pay attention.

I'll apologize in advance because this is a thread-jack of the Pirates thread.

But Vin Scully is calling the game on MLB Network. Never been a Dodger fan, but just love hearing him call a game. Going to be missed.

    Resume all things Pirates now.
