I can't find anything more recent. Maybe it's different now, but the numbers tell a different story.

 

He's probably a little less apprehensive about using nuclear weapons.
He's not above torture or killing terrorists' families.
He wants to get out of NATO.

Who cares what the average person on the street thinks?

World leaders don't fear or respect him. They are who matter.

 

I don't think he'll do any of those things. But, if world leaders fear he might, that could be a good thing.

 

The gestures from Russia and China make them look stupid and petty, not our country. Nations should have interests, not feelings. And indeed, China went along with the climate change deal because it's in its interest to do so, no matter how mad they are about the South China Sea. If you want to live in a world where China and Russia FEAR the US, YF, that's your judgment, but I grew up as a kid in that world, and it wasn't so hot. Fear breeds misjudgment, and since all three countries have so many nuclear weapons, misjudgment is to be avoided.

 

Meanwhile, Russia's economy is in tatters thanks in large part to US-led sanctions. Why should anyone give a fuck what that little mobster Putin thinks?
