Antibiotics cure a vast, vast majority of the million-plus annual pneumonia cases here. Immunization protects against 23 different types of it.

It is most dangerous in the very young and the very old and extended-stay hospital patients.

It doesn't need to be "normalized."

It's a completely normal, and treatable, disease in most cases.
