They're still having a meeting to decide how hard they want to look for Bush's 22 million emails.

I've agreed with RickStain every time he's mentioned it.

    It's a huge concern.

You could take No. 1, swap out Republicans for Democrats and it would still be true.

Best case scenario - no matter who wins - is a one-term presidency with the opposition party finding a serious candidate. (Preferably a Gen Xer. It's time for Baby Boomers to STFU, as they've driven this car into the ditch too many times.)

It was the best of numbers crunching. It was the worst of numbers crunching.

He's always needed the states Romney carried, plus.

North Carolina and Arizona were the only Romney states in danger. I'd say North Carolina looks safe, and Arizona is looking safer. (And he's not losing Georgia, Utah or Texas.)

Iowa is already in his column.

If he wins Romney, Iowa, Ohio, and Florida, which is reasonable, he's at 259.

At that point, Pennsylvania obviously puts him over, but it opens other paths too.

Virginia would win it for him.

Colorado and Maine's 2nd Congressional District would do it.

Any of the industrial Midwest states -- Michigan, Wisconsin, or Minnesota would do it.

Nevada and New Hampshire would do it.

It won't be easy, but it gives him a chance.

But it's the same practical effect.

Many years ago David Letterman said during an election year, "Polls show that if the election was held today, an overwhelming majority of voters would be very surprised." That's sort of where I think these poll arguments lead us.
