    Giants at break: 57-33
    Giants since break: 20-34

Today it was a late rookie call-up trying to get his first career save. Three-run HR, Padres win.

And yet they some how still lead the wild card albeit a half game up for home field and a game up on St Louis for the second spot. I keep waiting for the Giants to get their shit together and either pull away in the wild card chase/make a legit run at the division or just tank and stop teasing us with playoff hopes. This team is hot garbage right now, it's a wonder they were the best team at the break.

RIP Royals for 2016. The two losses to the A's come pretty close to sealing it.

Of the other cabal here of Royals fans, I'm sitting here, writing a newscast while watching parts of the 2014 playoffs run via YouTube.

I'm borderline overwhelmed with what I've seen the last two years. A World Series run that was unexpected in 2014 -- that bullpen pitched out of just about every jam and it's even more impressive with time. Defense that never seemed to fail. My son and I went to the Wild Card game and Games 2 and 6 of the World Series. We played catch past the right field bleachers, by the satellite trucks, chatting with the ESPN crew as they were getting ready. Something he'll never forget.

Hell, he got to meet Marlins Man.

A World Series title in 2015 that met the expectations. The offense simply scratched and outscored everyone, waiting for the mistakes by the other side. Didn't go to any of the games but went to the parade and met a bunch of the players and coaches and Brett (yes, George was as nasty and mean as one would expect...Never disappoints!).

The reality of injuries and a lack of talent (trading away all of the pitching prospects for Cueto/Zobrist -- and I applaud that move) has weakened the team quite a bit.

Yet I also cannot write this without putting out my appreciation for the team of my youth. Thank you, KC, for three incredible seasons (including this one). Lifelone memories with our children and, truly, what any parent who loves sports got to experience with his children.

For all of the bitching we all do about sports, damn, what a ride the last 24 months. Yes, it was worth two decades of the Royals in the abyss.

Raise your hand if you had Donnie Hart recording one of the biggest outs of the season for the Orioles. Swore they were going to blow that last night. Just your typical 3-hour 40-minute AL East slog.

Tigers didn't get their free win last night.

Noah Syndergaard, his sinkers and sliders coiling like mambas around the ankles of the Nationals’ batters, struck out ten last night and left the game, in Washington, with a 3–1 lead, which vanished in the bottom of the ninth on three hits—two of them infield squigglers—and a throwing error, all against the reliable closer Jeurys Familia.

Donaldson had an MRI today. Missed third straight game. Said hip is bothering him, can't move side-to-side.

Jays are 3-9 in September. Canada is FREAKING OUT

Excuse me, I have something to say,

    Fuck you Giants!

That is all. Carry on with your days.

Orioles-Red Sox was a great September pennant race game last night.

This four-way AL East race is something else. And three of the four might extend the battles into the postseason.
