Unless Trump does something really stupid (which, of course, is a distinct possibility), polls will probably continue to tighten and trend toward Trump until the first debate.

And there will plenty of cherry picking of polls between now and then.

Helluva lot at stake for Clinton, considering how low the bar is going to be set for Trump. And if Trump is allowed to get away with flat-out lies, the way he did with Lauer.
