They really think this is their ticket to a comeback. (This, and having the 80-year-old guy who ripped you as dishonest the entire primary season campaign for you in an effort to win over millennials.)

    Their campaign is pathetic.

They remind me of a college basketball team (think UNLV back in the day) that's won every game easily, all season long, but now doesn't know how to play a close game.

    She's choking.

Well, except for the fact that it's true.

So did Jimmy B Rabbit Smith, but he came back strong against Papa Doc in the end.

Oh sweet Sam Walton's dirty pickup truck, anybody who looks at Trump and sees an "everyman" has no clue. Now if you want to say Americans are supporting Trump because he's not a DC insider, not a politician, that I can believe. But I find it very difficult to believe "millions" are supporting him because they think he gives off a blue-collar vibe - while flying on a private jet to and from Mar-A-Lago in his $5,000 suits.

(And I say that as somebody who watched a couple early seasons of The Apprentice and enjoyed Trump's appearances with Regis back in the day.)

Once upon a time an Everyman ran for president. He was a Rhodes Scholar and a Georgetown and Yale Law School graduate.

As condescending as this clearly is (and this holds true of liberals and conservatives) Trump is an uneducated person's idea of what wealth looks like. Gold-plated life, fake tan, an assembly line of big-breasted wives.

Real billionaire laugh at the idea that Trump is a billionaire. But he plays the role well enough for people who get all their world views from TV.

Penn only flirted with birtherism. Is that the argument?

He walked up to the line, but didn't cross it, suggesting Obama didn't have "American roots", and might be a Muslim, but never specifically said he wasn't born here?

That's just an argument that they were good at running a sophisticated whisper campaign, that was racist at its root, not that they didn't engage in it at all.

Reporters whining is always a way to win readership.

Bush inherited a recession and then had the cripplung effects of 9/11, which greatly harmed the airline industry. He didn't cry and make excuses even one year later, much less eight.
