It's the same thing as all these "end times" proclamations.

Everybody wants to believe that THEIR TIME is THE time that will decide history (or Armageddon, if you will). It's narcissistic and pretty much SOP.

I'm not sure that of the 58 elections in this country's history (after this one), that Trump-Clinton would place in the Top 25.

 

I love this. Trump finally states unequivocally that Obama was born in America, and now the media is more upset about his previous claims than ever.

It's like they're pissed that they can't badger him about this anymore -- even though they barely pressed him on it this entire campaign.

Plus, since Trump accused Clinton of starting birtherism, the media has to debunk this claim, but in doing so, has to report that birtherism did originate on the left, with "die hard" Hillary supporters.

 

No. But he didn't "inherit a recession" either. You put out a blatant falsehood about the fourth quarter of 2000. You going to stick by that?

For someone who believes ardently that everything bad in the world can be traced to exactly Jan. 20, 2009, you sure aren't a stickler for definitions that don't benefit you. "Recession" is generally accepted to mean two consecutive quarters of negative growth. So even in your alt-right world of fun, negative growth in the fourth quarter of 2000 would not constitute a recession; as it turned out, though, the fourth quarter of 2000 was a time of rebound.

The longest economic expansion in economic history was bound to lose steam at some point, whether it was under Bush, Gore or a third Clinton term. But Bush did not inherit a recession, nor a particularly weak economy. In Clinton's second term we were above 4% GDP growth every year. We never got there under Bush, and ended his presidency with -0.3 percent growth. Notably now, in 2009 we had -2.8 percent growth. Bush's fault? Or Obama's? If 2001 was Clinton's fault, you're going to have to blame 2009 on Bush, right?

He absolutely should be held responsible for how the economy TRENDED beginning with his inauguration, as should anyone.

Bush inauguration: Unemployment 4.2 percent.
Obama inauguration: Unemployment 7.8 percent.

TRENDING HIGHER 3.6 percent for the 96 months of Bush's term.

Current unemployment: 4.9 percent

TRENDING LOWER 2.9 percent for the 94 months (so far) of Obama's term.

 

So what's the point?

The point is YF will continue to bang on the #narrative that Hillary was behind the birther movement - even though she wasn't - and that poor innocent folks like Sheriff Joe and Alex Jones and Trump were victims of the Clinton Machine.

 

Also, too, I like how Trump claims he ended the birther movement - even though he kept tweeting about it AFTER the birth certificate was released.

 

She's RACIST AGAINST WHITE PEOPLE!!!!

 

But, they sure played off of it didn't they?

You don't deny that the Clinton campaign was peddling the photo of Obama in "native Muslim garb".

You don't deny that Mark Penn was authoring memos recommending that they paint Obama as "other" without "American roots".

And, while Trump has been scolded to "denounce" the support of the "alt-right" and Bernie was beaten up on until he denounced the "Bernie Bros.", not only did Hillary not denounce her "die hard" supporters who started the rumor, they built a strategy to benefit from it.

There's no denying that Penn's memo was racist. Did Clinton reject it as racist, and denounce Penn?

There's no doubt that Obama blamed Clinton personally for her campaign's rumor mongering. And, what did she do when he called her on it:

Before he could finish his sentence, she exploded on Obama. In a matter of seconds, she went from composed to furious.

Of course she got defensive, and upset. I'm not sure she has the "temperament" to be President.

 

Yeah, the Clintons really respect President Obama, right?

Bill told Teddy Kennedy that a few years earlier, Obama would be serving them drinks.

And, according to a big Dem donor, she hates Obama, resents him for beating her, and refers to him as, "that man".
