Cueto hurt (possible groin strain, MRI Wednesday). Crawford hurt (dislocated pinky finger on slide). But Sergio Romo, back from the bullpen dead. If I ever figure out baseball ....

I think he was. Bum due up in the eighth and the Dodgers would have thrown at him. I am sure of that. Just wish he wouldn't let Puig get to him so much.

I put the over-under on benches clearing at 1.5 for the final Angels-Rangers game of the year. Infra redass.

Yeah, that brawl's on the radar in a big way.

Semi-related question: How in the fuck does Mike Scioscia not get thrown out of every game the Angels play?

    Umpire boredom with his act.

Gotta be something like that -- "Mike being Mike," I guess.

Mitch Moreland got thrown out of the game the other night for bitching about balls/strikes, but he was walking back to the dugout (and not looking at the umpire, who was doing that stalking bit that I hate) when he got rung up. I thought to myself, damn, you're gonna throw him out, given what you've been hearing the whole game from Scioscia?

And Joe West as the home-plate umpire. That could be fun.

Thought Matt Cain was a possible closer. Now he is a mop-up man? Love to hear Mad Dog Russo's unintelligible rant on that.

Who said Matt Cain was a possible closer?

Nobody seems to want either NL wild card.
