You don't think she was in on the joke? Really? So you think she and her people went in to his show and didn't know what was up? Wow

 

You can argue she was in on it. Either way, it was an epic failure. She's better off saying she wasn't in on the joke.

So the joke is that it's not funny at all? Some joke.

 

I saw the one with President Obama. I didn't necessarily think that was funny, either, but it felt much more natural.

Is it supposed to be a Borat-type ambush of "serious" people? I feel like the "Make it awkward for the famous person" shtick is kind of played out.

 

OK, so you don't find his stuff funny. Have you ever seen the show before? Do you understand that many people, particularly younger people find this extremely funny? I watched it this morning with 2 woman a couple years younger than me (54) and we were laughing out loud. To each their own I guess.

She went on the show KNOWING what was going to happen. Good lord, do you people live on a deserted island with no internet access? I hear that there are DVDs of the Red Skelton Show available perhaps that is more your speed.

 

I've seen it about five times before and can't remember one time I laughed.

 

This has been a weird couple of days in the life of this thread.
