Interesting stat for Brewers closer Tyler Thornburg, who took over as closer when Jeremy Jeffress was traded to Texas. Thornburg has not allowed a hit to a right-handed batter since July 28. RH hitters are 0 for their last 38 against him.

Hell of a time for a five-game losing streak, Orioles. Now Gausman's hurt and Tillman can't find the strike zone. Dammit.

Snell looked like a Cy Young with his first inning strikeout of Sanchez last night. Kid's got stuff.

And Utley did this ... (don't worry, no political art involved)

The great storyline is the Sox having to beat the Indians (Tito) and then the Cubs (Theo) to win it.

I am pretty nervous about the Cubs winning. We've all seen what Red Sox fans have become. Yuck.

“Every time we lose, I think, “What a knucklehead am I?” -- Giants GM Bobby Evans, on not trading for a closer

Heyman - Giants GM Laments Melancon Miss

If they had one, they'd be division champs.

He's on the 60-day DL, but he won't be getting paid.

One of my favorite Vin Scully stories.
