I'm convinced he doesn't care at all about abortion rights now that he's 70 and no longer personally needs to depend on its safe and legal availability. And there's little he can do in terms of gay rights, which is not an issue that's driving any significant amount of votes on the right, anyway. He's already made deals with the GOP establishment on this kind of stuff.

Would seem reasonable to think that if Trump actually wins, he'll have a Republican Senate and House with which to work. He'll sign what's put in front of him. The Democrats will have to use the filibuster to accomplish their limited ends. And I'm sure all the sj.com Dems will be aghast at their Senators' "obstructing!"

    Sounds like fun (not) ...

Assuming the filibuster isn't eliminated at the start of the new term

Particularly impressive performance by the FBI doing a Friday afternoon document dump. Hard to come to any conclusion other than they intentionally botched the Hillary investigation.

I don't get the Friday document dump deal myself. Seems to me the best time would be noon on Sunday after the talking head shows and right before NFL kickoff.

Yes, this whole exchange pretty much sums up the liberal attitude. Everyone is stupid -- except us.
