For whatever it is worth, Hugh Hewitt sounded morose on MSNBC just now.

 

I ... largely agree.

 

I noticed that as it happened, but to be fair to Trump, he did come back to shake Holt's hand a moment later and looked to be saying something along the lines of "I thought that would take longer," meaning the handshake and talk with Hillary.

 

Point taken ... but whining about unfair questions is his MO.

 

What was all Donald's sniffing about? Reminded me of someone doing a lot of blow. Does he have a cold or something?

 

It is very true that no debate ever has changed many minds or had real impact on the election. But it has to be a real question if Trump can get better. Is he going to buckle down and do some homework? Is he going to keep calm when Clinton baits him again or if he gets called out on a lie by a moderator? What evidence do we have he will improve, or that she will do more poorly?

 

I actually agree with this, but here's the thing: Trump had 11 debates during the primaries to get better and we're still seeing the same guy, the same level of preparation. He's done nothing to show us that he wants to or intends to get better at it. He's given none of us any reason to believe he will get better.

 

It's funny watching birthers get upset about that being discussed - even as a joke.

 

I don't know about a cold. Many people are saying he was snorting coke before he went on stage. Seriously though, Hillary did show more stamina as she got better the longer it went and Trump was clearly losing focus and babbled more than normal.

 

I'm thinking it's a fatal disease and he should bow out of the race.
