Tonight is once again proof that no one in the National League wants to win the wild card this year. Mets-Marlins had obvious over tones, but the Cardinals got man handled.

Would be interesting if the Marlins ran the table.

To paraphrase Major League, "Who gives a shit? He's gone."

That was really something special. Even as a Mets fan, no way you can't be moved by that whole scene.

Given your approach to this latest discussion, a little honesty would be a nice change of pace if I actually believed you.

OOP, did you take a stat course to get your journalism degree? Do you understand anything about probability?
If I'm not holding pocket aces, I would deal at the trade deadline. That's just me.
And that is what Huntington did.

They can put the contract renegotiations on hold a bit longer. I heard there had been some talks, but one side decided to delay (think it was the Nats), and my immediate thought was - what if he gets hurt?

Well, there you go. Now what?

Let's put the baseball knowledge fart has shown in this discussion in perspective. He said the Pirates weren't in contention for anything at the time of the trade even though they were two games out of a wild card spot. A wild card spot is not nothing.

Then he tried to argue that wild card spots are for losers in the current format, apparently forgetting that the Giants won the World Series in 2014 after making the playoffs as a wild card team. So in fart logic, the 2014 World Series Champions were losers.

That wasn't entirety of his foolishness on this topic, but it's quite enough. Fart, your opinion is noted and given the weight it deserves. None.
