So true, especially as contrasted to the way they rushed to Hillary's defense of the Bernie Sanders, basement dwelling supporters comments.

You are very frustrated that she didn't say what you wanted her to have said.

The PTSD manufactured outrage reminds me of how outraged people get when college women are warned not to get shitface hammered and go wandering into dark alleys on campus.

"You're not telling the men not to rape!!!eleventy!11"

I find these kind of semantic outrage fests so tedious.

I'm looking forward to tonight's veep debate, if only because I think Mike Pence might actually have to come to terms with selling out his conservative ideals.

    1. This Hannity wannabe should tell that to ...

David Maulsby, the executive director of the Texas-based PTSD Foundation of America, told The Associated Press that, at first, he hoped Trump’s remarks had been taken out of context. But after watching a recording of the exchange, he said the Republican nominee’s words were detrimental to veterans struggling with PTSD symptoms.
“At the very least, it’s a very poor choice of words. PTSD is basically a rewiring of the brain as the result of trauma or prolonged trauma. That is not a reflection of a person’s strength, character, stamina - any of that,” Maulsby said.
“Our veterans who are struggling with post-traumatic stress as a result of their combat need to be encouraged to seek help, and not be told they are weak or deficient in character in any way, shape or form,”
Zach Iscol, a Marine veteran and executive director of the nonprofit Headstrong Project, which helps provide free care for veterans suffering from PTSD, said Trump’s comments weren’t “just wrong, they’re dangerous.”
“The biggest barrier we have to people getting help is the stigma of getting help,” he said. “It just shows a complete misunderstanding of what post-traumatic stress disorder is.”

It's too bad you can't shed your misogyny and come down squarely against rape ...

You're right. Trump deserves the benefit of the doubt when it comes to respect for our military.

A man who never shuts up about how terrible our military is, yet has five draft deferments. And doesn't know how our military works. And wants to "fire" all the top generals and "bring in" his own. And insults a POW because he doesn't like people who are captured. And once referred to his navigating through the fucking of STD-riddled whores of New York City as him being a brave soldier in his own personal Vietnam.

He totally deserves the benefit of the doubt when it comes to respect for our military.

I just don't think that, politically, it's a criticism that has much traction. Who in the world expects Donald J. Trump to be eloquent at this point?

Nothing has traction. He's an ignorant asshole, and people love it.

But smart people shouldn't stop pointing that out, even if it's just for posterity at this point.

Some people love it. Others don't, not even a significant number of people who'll vote for him because he's the Republican and that's how they always vote.
