He seems like the better candidate, totally, judging by this.

He was calm and batted away Kaine's criticism.

Kaine constantly interrupted. He was on point but some of his rehearsed lines didn't seem authentic and his zingers fell flat.

Kaine got out his talking points, but ran out of content about half way through and started repeating himself, including the line about keeping Iran from getting nuclear weapons, which in still to be determined.

No, Pence sat there like a totally oblivious stooge and acted like he couldn't hear a thing while Kaine listed the myriad reasons Trump is a complete fucking asshole. The only thing he forgot to mention is that Trump fucks his daughter.

Hillary's camp seems to love canned zingers, like "Trumped-up, trickle-down." Hard to believe it's the same staff that brilliantly mapped out the Alicia Machado knockout punch.

Let's face it.Kaine was a clown show last night. He never seems to come across well on a big stage

Very good observation. I expect the one-liners will be dropped for the town hall format, which requires a different approach as you must interact with the live as well as TV audience.

The zingers just didn't sound like Kaine's own words, which made them fall flat.

If you're writing zingers for someone they can't sound forced.

Pence won the debate. And it won't matter one whit. All will be forgotten the minute Trump whips out his phone or opens his yap.

Dan Quayle was elected VP, for fuck's sake.

Pretty much. By ignoring, downplaying or denying almost everything his boss has said or done.

Amazing to me, the Trump staffers leaking to reporters that their boss was unhappy his VP got better reviews than he did. What kind of adviser does that kind of backstabbing? What's worse, it sure has the ring of truth.
