I guess it's not as bad as Anita Alvarez, the State's Attorney in Chicago, going on "60 Minutes" and surmising that the exonerating DNA evidence was explainable by the theory that the DNA match, a serial sex offender, happened upon the corpse of the victim and had sex with her post-mortem.

People have a very difficult time believing that people make false confessions. I'd like to hear the actual confessions, though. I have a death row client who the State kept alleging at trial had "confessed." His "confession" was the following: Upon being aggressively questioned by the police, he put his head on the table and said, "Sometimes I'm just not Jerry." That's it. That's his "confession."
