Politics and demographics. The Clintons were anti immigration when it was good politics for them. Now, they claim Trump is racist for holding the same position they used to promote.

That quoting raw numbers without considering percentages was potentially misleading. I thought that was pretty clear.

 

Well, for one thing, the actual problem of illegal immigration has changed drastically in the last 20 years

 

So a given position can be either racist or not racist, depending on the context (i.e., whether it's the other guy who holds it). Color me shocked!
