Trump cheats at golf - the ONE and ONLY politics thread

Except one of the issues is Trump being unfit for the presidency based on how he disparages every group of people that are different than him. How in the world could he advocate for so many he clearly despises?

 

Locker room banter is "Did you see the rack on that blonde? I'd hit it!", not "When you're a star you can just start kissing them and grab their pussy". It's also phrased in such a way as to suggest that it's his standard approach, and he even eats a tic-tac before leaving the bus for when he starts kissing on the woman in front of him

 

He tried that with birtherism. Didn't get him far.

I'd expect the "whitey" tapes to come out before one where Trunps says the n-word.

 

It seems like the brand could be damaged. Aren't some of his properties suffering already?

But, if the grand plan is Trump TV, then he has locked in a huge (YUUUUGE) viewership with this campaign.

I think Chris Matthews is pretty accurate here.

Donald Trump’s appeal was just perfectly summed up by Chris Matthews

"A lot of this support for Trump, with all his flaws which he displays regularly, is about the country — patriotic feelings people have, they feel like the country has been let down. Our elite leaders on issues like immigration, they don't regulate any immigration it seems. They don't regulate trade to our advantage, to the working man or working woman's advantage. They take us into stupid wars. Their kids don't fight but our kids do.

It's patriotic. They believe in their country. .... [There is a] deep sense that the country is being taken away and betrayed. I think that is so deep with people that they're looking at a guy who's flawed as hell like Trump and at least it's a way of saying I am really angry about the way the elite has treated my country. And it's so deep that it overwhelms all the bad stuff from Trump. It's that strong. It's a strong force wind."

 

I tend to think that if there was an n-word tape, it would already have been leaked.

 

Trump is the elite. A silver spoon Daddy's boy "billionaire." He's had his fucking balls licked every morning since he was born. The fucking worst of the elite. The elite which has gamed the system and fucked us all over.

The elite need to be strung up from telephone poles. No better place to start.

 

Racism and sexism have nothing to do with it, I guess. There are reporters covering Trump's events. They paint a very different picture of his core supporters. They're people who cannot accept that just being white (and especially not being a white man) doesn't make you better than any other American. I get that Matthews' spiel might be what Trump supporters would like to think about themselves, but it ain't so. They just want a President who'd let them fly their hate flag high.

 

Yeah, I don't expect him when this is all over to be shunned and forced to walk in the wilderness for the rest of his days..but licensees won't get the product placement in retail for his licensed goods they received in the past. I should look up his licensing deals, maybe that's not a big as it was before he announced.

I can't imagine his kids are happy with all this.

But Trump does have his base of True Believers. Maybe they will carry him forward on their shoulders.
