Everybody has it tough.

Trying to explain Trump's support to his opponents is like talking to a wall. I just spelled it out for you. You don't have to agree with the politics or the reasons for it, or even believe for a second Trump can do anything about it. People wonder what Trump's appeal is, and that's it. He's paying attention to people who feel they've been ignored for a long time now. I'm not saying it's right or it's wrong, I'm just explaining why it is.

 

Shit, Trump has no idea what his economic platform is. Paul Ryan is supplying that, Trump supplies the demogogue.

 

Then those people deserve Trump.

 

Batman, paying lip service is different from paying attention. Trump can say he's going to bring back manufacturing jobs all he wants - but it does not mean that he can.

This is the part to me that I just don't get. It's a harsh reality, but those jobs are never, ever coming back.

I understand this group of voters wants them to come back, but it's a false promise by Trump. And he has to know it. It's a global economy and the rise of automation.

So, if they're voting for Trump on this issue, they're going to be even more let down and more angry. Those jobs are gone forever.

 

I have a Trump tie I got as a groomsman gift. The giver (as liberal as they come) told us we should burn it, but the color looks really good on me.
