Except it's not really true that she's anti-it. It's one of the actual substanative differences between her and Bernie during the primaries. Her policy is basically "pro-fracking, with safeguards."

And when it is over, those same people will have been hoodwinked and abused once again, but you can't tell them a damn thing. Trust me, I try.

I saw a comment today where someone used the term "proletarian" while describing Donald Trump. The mind boggles.

This is going to be a tortured metaphor, but the Facebook Live stunt to me shows that Trump is basically attempting to reenact the end of The Wrath of Khan. His only chance of "victory" is creating a fireball that engulfs both ships.

Even though it's warranted, a lot of Hillary's attacks on Trump have bordered on personal -- that he's unfit to be president because of the way he treats people, that he's a liar, etc. She's done well tying it into legitimate reasons for why it would matter in a Trump presidency, but it's still rooted in personal criticisms. Maybe he figures this is the way to even the odds?
The bad part, for him, is that one of his biggest assets to date might prove to be his undoing. Professional politicians learn this is part of the game, and ways to counter or stay above it. As someone not of that world, Trump hasn't learned that and falls into the trap every time. It takes him away from the points he needs to be making and makes him look worse.

I think a lot of people have been clamoring for that for a long time. Now that it's got a chance of becoming reality, it's far less appealing proposition.

I'm not sure if it's any more complicated than the fact that a girl is making him look bad. To be honest, I don't know if the thought processes rise to a higher order than that for him.

Hillary's part in it has been explained to you dozens of times. Still hasn't penetrated the thickness.

Trump listen to his team? That would be a first.

Looking at the way he treated his opponents in the primaries, plus a few other public feuds he's had (the Rosie O'Donnell one springs to mind), Hillary's gender has nothing to do with it. It's that anyone is making him look bad. When he's challenged like that, he comes right back at them. It's the way he's wired and, honestly, it's part of his appeal. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to have figured out how to harness that in a truly productive way.
