As expected, Trump is going to take everybody down with him.

I think Trump needs to pull it back a notch so fewer people become suspicious of the false flag candidacy he has so carefully planned and executed with his fellow Democrats.

I'm not happy about the current situation, but I'm not sure what Paul Ran or anyone else expects when they don't support the nominee.

If they're going to tear him down, why does he owe them anything?

Let's also remember that both Ryan and McCain sought Trump's endorsement in their respective primary battles.

His public support of them was supposed to heal wounds.

They knew who he was when they accepted his endorsement. For them to now want to disassociate from Trump is purely political. Maybe they have no choice, but no one should feel sorry for them.

Was it at all cathartic for you last night to have her finally put on the spot on national television for thanking Juanita Broaddrick for fund-raising?

I sure know I'm feeling empathetic for The Donald this afternoon.

Bet Trump is super glad he outsourced his GOTV operation to the party.

I guess the only thing that might keep this from a Reagan-Mondale number right now is Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.

I'm curious what the floor here is for Trump. I can already foresee Dick and Yankee saying "It feels like the Dems are overplaying their hand here. It's bound to backfire." (The caveat of course being Dick may still be enjoying some subtle performance art trolling.)

But this is blood-in-the-water time for Dems. Another tape will emerge. Women will come forward. He will keep listening to Bannon who literally might be the devil, hell bent on setting the world on fire.

We are in uncharted GOP-in-full-civil-war territory. You can make all the arguments you want about how people will split their ballots to keep her in check, but those nuanced arguments will be almost impossible with him going scorched earth. People just don't split ballots on big numbers.

I'm betting Ryan will lose his speakership over this if the GOP holds the house, meaning the party will be setting fire to one of its few youngish stars. I think Priebus may resign tonight.

How will a caged Trump react? This is basically the nighmare scenario that Rick Wilson and Erick Erickson and David Frum and Kristol predicted. He holds the whole party hostage and has no loyalty to them at all.

I think he could show up at every rally for the next month wearing an armband with a swastika and still pull at least nine states.

Dick, I know a lot has changed since you were saying this, so please know I say this purely in good humor:

"I think he's going to win, too."

    I can't believe I'm agreeing with you ...

These guys tossing Trump overboard now, I wish they'd all lose in a landslide. They deserve everything they had coming to them.
