This is the definition of big government liberalism -- that the state knows better than you. That it takes a village.

Love liberalism all you want, but it's about giving power to the state, and to the corrupt politicians we all bitch about.

Every elected official in Washington, and every federal agency, works diligently to acquire more power.

 

Sure. And, maybe in a normal election year, nothing in the Posesta emails blows up, but there's no way to know that now.

Trump painted himself into a pretty tight corner with all the Bill Clinton bashing. His spokespeople are saying that his accusers simply want "15 minutes of fame." Of course, the same could be said about Bill's accusers. Unless you are squeaky clean, it's a fraught tactic.

Remember: There's never been a peep about W. or Obama, as far as this kind of stuff goes.

YF, your response has nothing to do with my post. These students are saying they cannot morally support the candidate endorsed by their school, an endorsement made for power-seeking purposes. It's a religious school. They're putting their personal beliefs ahead of institutional power goals. That's noteworthy and praiseworthy. They are walking their talk.

 

A few weeks ago, some relatives were trying to convince me that Michelle Obama is really a man and the president has called her "Michael" on multiple occasions. I'm guessing this was making the rounds on Breitbart?

 

Ok sure. But there seemed to be an implied criticism of those who try to accumulate power -- especially those who try to act holier than thou while doing so.

That's liberalism in a nutshell.
