He's Gene Mauch with a better regular-season record. I really think if he had won a title this year, he'd fall on the right side of the line when it came time but no matter the team he is with, they always come up short. Buck Showalter is going to have that perception problem when he steps away as well.

But...but... Crawford would have been off-target! I saw it the other night when he's in the ninth inning!!

Congrats on your team's great season, Nats fans.

What do their races have to do with their managerial skills?

Still trying to figure out why Harper or Baker or anyone seemed to give a shit after Harper was picked off on the no-balk call.......
I'm not saying go out and get dumped, but if either one of them just politely asks them about it, Gonzalez wasn't going to do anything.
No dog in the fight at all, just find it odd.

    Because it was a balk.

And it was a fairly easy call too. For all the bullshit that Harold Reynolds spews, he was dead on correct about that.

I believe Al Lopez is the only manager in the Hall of Fame who never won a World Series, not counting 19th Century guys.

I was sad, too, when Harper got picked off.

But Jesus Christ that was a balk move. Why the fuck is that not called?

Can't even imagine what the atmosphere is going to be like Saturday night at Wrigley.

It always floors me, sitting here in my Chicago bubble, to realize that 95 percent of the baseball country still has a positive view of Dusty Baker.

To be fair, even if he didn't balk, (which he did) he was going to get picked off anyway. Harper got caught peeking in.....
