You posted that the allegations justify the way Politico wrote it. They don't.

Alma, it takes one word: "arguably."

I agree. I'm not disputing the point.

I'm questioning whether people think it's worth it anything to make the point.

I don't believe he believes he didn't commit assault.

He's obtuse enough he might believe it, but he's acting guilty enough it's pretty obvious he knows he did something wrong.

Oh I agree but Dick is being Dick. So exhausting.

I'm not being anything. The way Politico wrote it is hackery.

That's called "blaming the victim". "If she didn't want me to do that, she shouldn't have dressed that way" is another version.

It's bullshit. Getting them in an empty room and forcing your tongue down their throat isn't them letting you.

The accusations are examples of a long-standing pattern that shows why your explanation is bullshit. The idea that a woman "letting" a behavior happen is proof of consent is vile and wrong.

I'm surprised you are having such trouble. So many members of SJ.com are fans of hackery. :)

"They let you do it" could mean an assault. Or it could mean they consent. It's not Politico's decision to make, in a straight news story.
