I want to know which schools voted against expansion. Has to be Texas, OU, Okie State and ???, right?

Which would make sense, except for the part where Baylor is tied for the lead in the conference.

I texted my old roommate who works in the KU athletic department and asked what people are saying there:

"Didn't even get to a vote. Top people are furious. OU continually fucks over everyone by not being able to shut up. We are actively trying to get in B1G as of NOW."

He's mid-level employee, but generally at least knows where Bill Self stands. Take that for what it is worth.

Iowa State is so going to tear up the Sun Belt.

    That's a good question.

Of all the potential answers, I think only probably Missouri satisfies (even part) of the "makes sense for all parties" requirement.

Bless your friend's heart thinking the B1G is an option.

Yeah, if KU to the B1G was ever really an option, they would have come as a package deal with Nebraska.

A Kansas-Mizzou package deal was much talked-about a decade or so ago.

I'm pretty confident KU and the Big Ten have had talks going back years and KU probably made a mistake not pushing to go in with Nebraska.

A couple of things in Kansas' favor are that the B1G presidents say they want AAU members in geographically contiguous states and that is a short list. Also, basketball content for the Big Ten Network. There's a good chance even an exhibition KU hoops game could be the most watched non-football programming on the channel.

Why would Missouri leave the cash machine that is the SEC, especially when they've had some modest success in football?

The BTN cash payout beats the SEC.
