As a Yankee fan, I think I root for Miller vs. Chapman rather than Toronto who have had an attitude all year, and the Dodgers who dumped Donnie Baseball.

A-Rod just said of the 750 players in MLB, his first pick would be Andrew Miller.

I sure hope he does that kind of special advising for the Yankees.

Cubs are set up to go Lester, Hendricks, Arrieta.

Seen some suggestions that they should move Arrieta up if you win game 5, because then he matches up against Kershaw and you either get his 1-in-5 flash of god mode or you lose a game you were probably losing anyway.

Chapman's an easy guy to root for.

CB Bucknor agrees with your assessment as Angel being the worst.

Congrats Cubs you are tied 2-2. And still have to face one start each from Kershaw and Hill, neither of which you looked close to figuring out.

MLB Network analyzed the Hill matchup the morning of the game. They showed the fact that he has one of the highest curveball spin rates in baseball, and that the Cubs have one of the lowest batting averages against curveballs in baseball. I'm sure you can run out 10 different reasons why this is bullshit analysis, but it made some amount of sense to me, and then it played out that way.

It is sort of right. BA is a bad stat for measuring offensive production is the main problem with it.

But the general idea that it is a relative weakness is true. The Cubs were 18th in run production against curveballs, compared with 4th against fastballs and 1st against sliders

It's still kind of funny that the world was in panic mode because the Cubs lost against the best pitcher of our generation and another lefty who, at least at home, is even better than that pitcher was this season.
