This shit (and I agree it's shit) is SOP for fundraising. In 2012, you could win a seat at an Obama fundraising dinner in LA. I'm not quite sure why they thought that was a prize, but there you are,

Listened to something on the SiriusXM POTUS channel that discussed gimmicks like this or calls to action such as "Help me defend Liberty" or "I need your help to defend women's rights." These tactics don't seem to be effective in the long run compared to other fundraising techniques.
