I'm a little surprised there was no interference call on that fourth-down deep throw by Flacco. Pleasantly surprised, but the corner never turned around and there was contact.

 

Since I have Flacco on one team was hoping for that. But it looked the WR also had his hand on the DB's shoulder pads. Pretty much a shit game by Flacco and the Ravens. Smith was out, but last year thought Aiken looked pretty good at the end of the season. Wallace also hard to figure, just kind of a home run or strikeout guy.

Landry Jones didn't take long to show why it is such a disaster for Roethlisberger to miss a game. Killer interception in the end zone after a Patriots fumble. Steelers already down, 7-0, and it's only going to get uglier from here.

 

That end zone throw was awful.
The unearth down fluttering duck to Bey wasn't much better.

It's going to be a long evening.

 

Of course, aside from great play by Jarvis Jones, they haven't stopped the Patriots, anyway. The Patriots are going to put up 40-plus points today if they want to do so.

 

Game ended with the interception for all practical purposes.

 

Pass interference and holding are something that should never be called.....from here on out.
If you wanted, one of the two could be called every play.
Just be done with both.

 

I'd like to see a chart on personal fouls by team and player. Unnecessary roughness, taunting, late hits ... is it a player by player thing or are there teams (coaches) that breed the behavior?

Steelers damn near had the game tied with a second touchdown pass to Heyward-Bey, but that was a good call on the hold by Hubbard. He clearly held Collins. (Then again, the Patriots have mugged Harrison a few times and gotten away with it.)

Then Jones throws to nobody on third down and Boswell misses a 42-yard field goal. Any shot the Steelers had just went away. Even with Roethlisberger, they wouldn't be able to waste so many opportunities against the Patriots. The Steelers have already given way two scores with an interception into the end zone and a missed field goal.
