What was interesting about it? A lot of right-wing cranks are out there saying Trump can still win because polls were wrong about Brexit! Even though it's a ridiculous comparison.

 

To be fair, the author's best friend's wife saw a lot of Trump signs as she drove cross country and ZERO Clinton signs. I think the 2012 showed us that yard signs are the best indicator of an election....

 

Interesting as a thing to point and laugh at, yes.

People like this being their base is *exactly* why they keep losing, too. Why should Obama's data scientists prevail over Romney's gut that he has momentum?

Sam Wang over at the Princeton Election Consortium has been doing this longer than Nate Silver with results just as good or better. He had Trump winning the nomination at every point. He also has it at 98% that Clinton wins.


A couple of anecdotes about times that a newspaper projection was wrong 60 years ago and a time this year that pundits ignored the polls are not meaningful proof that the piles of evidence that Trump is going down in flames are wrong.

Once again, claiming to be endorsed by ICE. Also: "the NAACP has said very nice things about me."

There was a lot of that in 2004, but there were polls that had Kerry ahead, so it was more people hung onto those. Then there was the whole partial exit poll fiasco. At 6 p.m., even Republicans thought Kerry was the winner.
