They are committed to being on that field when the storm hits.

I'll take it tonight. Missed the first because of the early start here in Central America. Caught innings 2 and 3, went back to work and flew for two hours and then caught 8 and 9 at home.

Weird note, at least to me: The Cubs have played 12 postseason games. They have not scored between two and four runs. They won the opener 1-0, since then they have been shut out three times, scored 5+ eight times and scored 8+ three times.

Got no dog in this hunt, but 4:04 for a 5-1 game is ridiculous. Now let the Wrigley slurpfest begin.

Don't you mean Wintrust? I swear if Ricketts could, he'd change the name of the park. He's changed about everything else. ;)

    A thought I just had:

Can you imagine what it would be like if Harry Caray had to say "Kyle Schwarber?"

Buck has his detractors, at times on merit, but the Cubs lovefest is getting a bit over the top. Still has a way to go to top Costas, though.

Is there enough beer in Wrigleyville for a three-day bender?

Jesus Christ, that game could be 12 hours long, or at least give that Phillies-Blue Jays shit show from 1993 (15-14 Toronto in Game 4 and it still only took 4:14 to play) a run for its money.

Even with the kings of multiple reliever innings, Bochy and Baker, at home, it seemed long, especially for the score. Extra-long commercial breaks?
