Seriously, it's bullshit. Silver isn't a trained journalist, but he should still me more careful with his words. But, he's also a partisan, which creeps through more in his writing than in his analysis.

This is the weirdest complaint. Trump never got closer than 2 points down in that particular poll, so the peaks and valleys are all accounted for as it is. The past few days are far more relevant than a random three days in August.
