Wholeheartedly agree. Jerking around economies and nations can lead to wars.

I anxiously await YF to go tug on his media critic cape and rip all the outlets for the initial coverage of this FBI story.

Slight threadjack: Charlie Brown actually did get to kick the football during one animated episode from the 70s/80s. Something happened to him (don't remember what it was) that made him invisible. Lucy started holding the ball, and, Charlie snuck up and kicked it, shocking Lucy. She kept trying to pick the ball up, Charlie kept kicking it, then he finally laughed at her.

Of course, by the end of the show, he thought he was still invisible, but whatever he had wore off and Lucy saw him coming and pulled the ball away again.

There also was a series of comic strips in which Charlie ends up in the hospital for something or another. Lucy feels bad and stands outside his window, saying she hopes he feels better and, thinking nobody else is around, promises never to pull the football away again. Only, Linus overhears her. A few strips later, Charlie Brown is better, sees Lucy, who is happy to see him, then he tells her he knows of her promise.

She tries to get out of it, but ends up sticking to her promise and doesn't pull the ball away. Which is great, except Charlie Brown kicked her in the hand. And the storyline ends with Lucy at the hospital with a bandaged hand.

    Threadjack over. Carry on.

At the least, this will move the needle back toward the center. I sure wouldn't laugh it off.

It could actually have a reverse effect if appears to be a GOP attempt to fabricate a last-second bombshell out of nothing.
