Website sources aside, is the writer of the email necessarily wrong about the mentality of voters of all ages?

How often do we see celebrities get involved in the election, regardless of party? They do it in order to sway that voter who doesn't know anything about the person running, but thinks to themself, dammit, Mr. And Mrs, Famous Person is endorsing them, so maybe I should vote for them too.

Look at Bush. How many times did we hear that he was the guy we'd like to have a beer with? Or, as noted, Bill and his saxophone.

Voters tend to concentrate on the trivial, instead of important policy stuff, because that sort of thing is boring.

BTW, when 24,000 of Sarah Palin's emails became public, both the Washington Post and New York Times organized crowd sourcing efforts to go through them quickly.

How come they didn't make a similar effort with Podesta's emails?

Didn't they have to go somewhere and not leave with Palin's emails?

I have a colleague who's doing some pretty cool work on using neural networks and other AI tools to deconstruct a corpus of text (e.g., a massive body of emails). One of the practical applications is the automation of document review.

There are some levels that are automated, like using search terms to cull the first level. But at some point, humans have to piece together the story.

YF reads things and understands what is going on? I think we have clearly demonstrated the first part of that is not always true. He doesn't even read many of the things he links here.

Glad you finally realized that. Perhaps your own posts will reflect that knowledge someday.
