Threw 21 pitches, not bad. Chapman had yesterday off, so he should be fine tomorrow. I liked where Maddon brought him in because, with two runners on and a 7-2 lead, he didn't want to give the Indians a glimmer of hope. Francona's been doing the exact same thing all series. It worked beautifully and now he's got a 9-2 lead.

 

I didn't have a problem bringing him in to face Lindor, who is the Indians' best hitter, but that should have been it.

 

20 pitches is no biggie. If you throw 20 in Little League, they still let you pitch the next day.

But I'm thinking Maddon has Lester in his equation somewhere.
